How to reach us — and how to check that a message claiming to come from Willful really did.

This is the only WhatsApp number Willful sends messages from. A message about Willful from any other number is not from us, whatever it says and whoever it claims to be.
If you get a message from us
What we will send
One-time codes when you sign in, and occasional notices about your account or the app. That is all. We do not send marketing on WhatsApp.
What we will never ask for
We will never ask you to read a one-time code back to us. We send those codes; we never need to hear one. We will never ask for your passphrase, a payment, a card number, or remote access to your phone.
Your passphrase would be useless to us in any case. Your vault is encrypted on your own device with a key derived from it, and that key never reaches us — which is the whole design of the app. Anyone asking you for it is not Willful.
Any link we send goes to willful.in
We never use link shorteners and we never send you to another domain. If the link does not begin https://willful.in/, it is not ours.
If something looks wrong
Forward it to hello@willful.in and block the sender. You will never lose access to your vault by ignoring a message, so there is no message urgent enough to act on before checking.
