For nominees

Someone has trusted you with a key.

A person close to you keeps a private record of their accounts, policies and property in Willful — so their family isn't left searching if something happens to them. They have named you to receive it.

What to do now

Save the key somewhere you will still have it in years.

That's all. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to pay, nothing to open today.

Questions

Is this genuine?

An unexpected message with a code in it is exactly what a scam looks like, so it is fair to ask. The difference is that this one asks nothing of you — no payment, no account, no personal details. If you are unsure, check with the person who sent it. Willful will never ask you for the key, and nor should anyone else.

What does the key do?

Nothing today. It is one of the pieces needed to open their records later, if that day comes. You cannot see anything with it in the meantime, and neither can anyone who might come across it.

What happens when it is needed?

Get in touch, and we will take you through it. Nothing is released until the claim has been checked, and the key on its own is never enough.

What if I lose it?

While they are alive, ask them to send it again. Afterwards nobody can — not even Willful, because the records are encrypted with a passphrase we never see. That is what keeps them private, and why the key is worth storing properly now.

Who do I contact?

support@willful.in — to make a claim, or just to check that a message you received was really from us.
